The best of Falkirk’s primary school tennis talent was showcased at Grangemouth Sports Complex on Thursday at the final of the primary school competition.
Starting in November, each school competed in local cluster competitions with a place at the finals the reward for the winner. Comely Park, Bo’ness Public, St Joseph’s, Kinnaird, Maddiston and St Margaret's earned the right to compete on Thursday with some excellent performances being displayed. Comely Park were deserved winners on the day with some excellent performances, Maddiston were a close second with Kinnaird finishing third. Well done to all participants involved and in particular Harris Cant (Comely Park), Lachlan Muir (Bo’ness Public) and Nathan Phillips (Kinnaird) who won all of their matches!
A massive thank you must also go to St Mungo’s senior pupils who officiated on the day and did an excellent job. Thanks must also go to all schools that made the effort of attending all competitions and allowing staff to accompany the children.
