Volunteer's Week - Hippfest 2017 Festival Assistant

It's Volunteer's Week!

We rely on our volunteers to deliver many of the important services we provide. This week, we'll be highlighting the sorts of volunteering opportunities that are available, thanking our volunteers, and showing you how you can get involved!

Day 6 - Hippfest 2017 Festival Assistant

HippFest volunteers are a key part of the Festival team – working closely with the venue staff at the Hippodrome and other spaces ensuring that audiences feel welcomed and their visit is enjoyable and stress-free. They also capture feedback from festivalgoers, which is key for our funders. Shifts across the 6 day Festival vary and volunteers can opt to do as many or as few as they want. Typical shifts are 4 hours; we require support throughout the day and in the evenings (usually up until approx.10pm).

What training is required?

Venue Health & Safety (Hippodrome) and a general Festival briefing (rather than training).

One of our volunteers says:

“I absolutely loved volunteering at HippFest. Please, please, please can I come back again next year?”
