Here's your chance to find out more about the Antonine Wall and the Frontiers of the Roman Empire during Big Roman Week which runs from 16 - 24 September 2017 AD.
Some events - but not all - are free of charge. You are recommended to check whether you need to book a place (or get tickets in advance). All week there will be Roman displays in Bo'ness Library, with the support of The Friends of Kinneil and Greenhill Historical Society. There's also the Roman exhibitions at Callendar House and Kinneil Museum.
There is a free film showing of The Mark of Rome (25 minutes) at Kinneil Museum, showing on demand, during opening hours (open every afternoon, except Tuesdays) from 12.30pm.
Highlights include talks, family events, kids events, walks, craft events,cookery event and not forgetting the Antonine Wall Community Conference at the Hippodrome Cinema on Sun 17 September whcih is organised by The Friends of Kinneil in association with Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust. The conference begins at 10.30am and ends at 1pm. The conference is free to attend but tickets should be pre-booked. Refreshments will be available.
