World Autism Awareness Day Screenings at the Hippodrome

In support of World Autism Awareness Day tomorrow (Wednesday 2nd April) the Hippodrome has joined cinemas across the UK in the first ever week of Autism Friendly Screenings with an Autism Friendly Screening of Muppets Most Wanted (U) on Sunday 6th April at 2:30pm.

April 2nd is the seventh annual World Autism Awareness Day where every year autism organisations around the world celebrate with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events. Nationwide Autism Friendly Screenings were first introduced by Dimensions, a leading not-for-profit organisation which supports people who experience autism and/or learning difficulties, and there have so far been over 94,000 visits to these screenings.

The Hippodrome runs a comprehensive programme of Autism Friendly Screenings which feature reduced sound levels, higher lighting levels, are advert and trailer free, and offers a more relaxed cinema environment.
