Primary 7 pupils from St Andrew’s PS recently took part in a day of Commonwealth Games activity at The Helix.
The pupils, teachers and some parents took part in cricket, rugby and tennis during the morning session with coaches from the Active Schools and Sports Development teams at Falkirk Community Trust and after a break for lunch at the Lagoon took part in a Mini-Commonwealth Games athletics event.
The great weather coupled with the spectacular surroundings of The Helix meant that it was an enjoyable and memorable day for all involved. The day was organised by Johnny Bannerman, Active Schools Coordinator with Miss Gallagher and Miss Buhrmann from St Andrew’s PS. We would like to thank The Helix for allowing us to use their facility and the parents who came along to help out on the day.
