Schools Tennis Championship Gets Off to Smashing Start

The 2014-15 Falkirk district Schools Tennis Championship has begun and now in its 4th year of delivery.  Six schools in the Graeme cluster started the ball rolling, with up to 6 weeks of coaching in-school. This was followed by the Graeme cluster tournament held at Polmont Sports Centre on Tuesday 18th November, and supported by sport leaders from Graeme High School.

The tournament featured eight selected players from each school playing in round robin pools. Schools featuring included: Laurieston PS, Whitecross PS, St Andrews RC, Hallglen PS, St Margaret’s PS and Westquarter PS. 

After an average of six games per player, final scores saw St Andrews RC scooping 1st place, St Margaret’s PS 2nd place and Laurieston 3rd Place.

St Andrews RC will now represent Graeme Cluster in the regional finals. Well-done to all!
