Young children across the Falkirk area are set to have some bouncy fun this Spring as we trial a new mobile soft play system across three of our sports centres.
‘Bounce World’ is made up from a number of inflatable slides and features for children to enjoy that can be transported to a number of different venues.
To go along with attraction, a pop-up café serving refreshments will also be on hand with seating for parents etc.
Trials will take place in the following locations and if the trials are a success, it is hoped to introduce them to other venues on a more frequent basis and to increase the size and capacity of the equipment.
Bankier Sports Centre – Monday 23 March open 10.30am-8pm
Polmont Sports Centre – Tuesday 24 March open 10.30am- 8pm
Denny Sports Centre – Friday 27 March open 10.30am- 8pm
The cost is £2 for each child for 30minutes and £5 for unlimited time period.
Ian Scott, Chairman of Falkirk Community Trust said: “The outdoor inflatables have always proved popular with local children, and it’s great to see we are providing an option for active play which can be enjoyed no matter what the weather. We really hope that these prove to be a hit with parents/carers and their children, and if the scheme is a success we would certainly want to take it out to many more locations so everyone can enjoy themselves.”
Councillor Adrian Mahoney, Falkirk Council’s spokesperson for Culture, Leisure and tourism said: “We’re keen to look at new ways of helping young children keep fit and enjoy themselves at the same time. Bounce World seems ideal and we hope that parents everywhere will support the scheme and pop along to one of the trial sessions.”
