Fancy a taster session of some popular sports and trying something new? We are giving you the chance to sign up to some low cost classes at Grangemouth Sports Complex this month.
The ‘Come and Try’ sessions will cost £2 per person and will involve an hour and a half facilitated sessions in sports such as football, badminton, basketball, short tennis, netball and others.
Participants can drop in between 1:30 and 3pm by themselves or with family or friends to take part in the sessions that start on Wednesday 29th April.
Councillor Adrian Mahoney, Falkirk Council’s spokesperson for Culture, Leisure and Tourism said: “The taster sessions will give individuals a chance to try out these sports at a reduced cost in a relaxed environment.
“The sessions have been designed specifically for those who can visit the centre during the day such as older adults, unemployed people, shift workers and students and we’re optimistic that these will prove popular.”
Ian Scott, Chairman of Falkirk Community Trust said: “We’d like to see these target groups take advantage of this initiative that brings both mental and physical health benefits as well as being a great way to rediscover sports that they may not have participated in for some time.”
