Are you having a laugh? Big name comedy at FTH

Falkirk audiences have the chance to see not one but two great comedy talents at Falkirk Town Hall next week.

Stewart Francis

Deadpan, Canadian, Stewart Francis will be ‘Outstanding in his Field’ on Sunday 4 November, 7.30pm

The TV star of ‘Mock the Week’, ‘Michael Macintyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ and ‘Live at the Apollo’ will be swooshing through Central Scotland on his barnstorming national  tour, stopping in Falkirk for one night only.

Famous for his quick fire one liners, and rightly regarded as the best in the business, he recently won a poll co-ordinated by TV channel ‘Dave’ to find the funniest line. Be sure that as you head home you’ll be desperately trying to remember them to regale your colleagues with on Monday (it’s not plagiarism if it’s a sincere form of flattery!).

Then before your laughing muscles have had a chance to recover, Falkirk favourite, that cheeky Craig Hill is at it again on Friday 9 November, 8pm.

Bringing his (ahem) ‘Jock’s Trap’ tour to Falkirk following yet another storming year of sell out shows at the Fringe. We don’t know what to expect, but if anything is guaranteed, Craig Hill will bounce into the theatre to entertain, innuendo never far from his lips, and skilful audience rapport, hilarious observations and a string of the campest one liners in his repertoire.

Craig Hill

Astrid Shearer, Marketing Officer for Falkirk Community Trust said, “this is going to be a great week for comedy fans. Both comedians are at the top of their game. Stewart is so laid back and laconic, while Craig is a ball of hyper energy but both will keep you enthralled all night. FTH, supported by Falkirk Council, is a perfect venue for comedy, being a surprisingly intimate space for some comedian / audience interaction. Which is why we are pleased to welcome the Funny in Falkirk Festival every year, but of course July is not the only time you can see great stand-up locally.”

Risqué but not blue, both shows are only suitable for over 16s, and tickets are available from the Falkirk Community Trust’s central box office in the Steeple, Falkirk. Stewart Francis tickets are £17.50, and tickets for Craig Hill’s Jock’s Trap are £14 /£12 concessions, the friendly team at the Box Office are waiting for your call on 01324 506850, Monday – Saturday, 9:30 – 16:45.
