Take part in the biggest health walk of the year this summer. The Big Fit Walk is now in its twelfth year and in 2015 Paths For All is inviting everyone to organise their own local walk. Show off your local area and invite as many buddies as you can to come along.
Why get involved?
- It's great fun
- You can share your love of walking with others
- It inspires you and others to walk more often
- Introduce people to walking routes and paths they might not know about
- Connect and meet new people in your area
Spread the word
Help us to get more people more active by holding a 30 minute Big Fit Walk in June. The official walk day is Friday 12 June but you can hold your walk on any day in June that suits you.
Just choose a date and a route and invite people to come along. Everyone is welcome: children, parents, carers, teachers, grandparents, neighbours, friends, colleagues and everyone! You could organise refreshments for the end of your walk. We'll give you lots of ideas to help you have a successful day.
Who can hold a Big Fit Walk?
Anyone! You could be a community group, school, workplace or walking group. Or simply organise a walk with friends, neighbours or colleagues. The theme this year is to ‘bring a buddy’ and that can be anyone; it doesn't have to be limited to one friend - bring as many as you like.
