Maureen Campbell is Chief Executive of the Trust. Maureen was previously the Director
of Community Services at Falkirk Council were she a led the area's economic regeneration
programme 'My Future's in Falkirk' and implemented the area's Culture and Leisure
Strategy. In 2007, Maureen was an integral part of the 'The Helix' project. It won
£25 million in the Living Landmarks Lottery programme to transform the landscape
between Falkirk and Grangemouth and secure continued community engagement in its
on-going development. Prior to taking up the Director's post, Maureen was Falkirk's
Head of Leisure Services and before that held a number of roles in the sport and
Maureen is a former international swimmer and retains a strong involvement in swimming
through membership of the boards of Scottish Swimming and British Swimming. Maureen also sat on the board of Commonwealth Games Scotland for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Maureen's priority is ensuring the Trust is a sustainable
and successful organisation and that it develops strong and effective partnerships
with both key partners and potential new partners.
