Visiting the Archives
We want to make access to the records held by Falkirk Archives as easy as possible.
Please contact us in advance to plan your visit.
Our finding aids and our Collections Browser
are available on-line so that you can find
out what records we hold before you visit.
If you visit the search room, you can see the original records and can decide what
information is relevant to your enquiry.
When you are here we can help you to identify
appropriate, relevant records and explain relevant background information so that
you can use the records. We expect you to research the records yourself.
The records
held in Falkirk Archives are often very rare or unique and we ask you to help us
look after these by following our search room guidelines.
We can make photocopies or digital copies of records, subject to copyright legislation
and preservation concerns.
