Falkirk Community Trust offer a programme of recreational badminton classes for
all abilities for ages 7-16 years. Badminton is a great fun game to play in pairs
or doubles: it's great as a sociable sport but can be highly competitive too. Played
with a shuttlecock instead of a ball, the general play is slower than tennis but
smashes can be much, much faster.
Beginner classes: the perfect fun introduction to badminton. Players will work on
basic skills to build a strong foundation from which to understand and play the
Improver classes: the next step on the Badminton pathway. Players will develop their
skills further with an increased focus on fitness and flexibility, and also work
on match-play skills and learn about warming up and practicing.
Classes follow our Badminton Awards Scheme syllabus with players working at their
own pace to achieve their personal best.
All Falkirk Community Trust badminton classes are taught by Badminton Scotland-
qualified and PVG-checked coaches. The Falkirk Community Trust badminton programme
is affiliated with Badminton Scotland.
Please see the Badminton page which contains details of class times and locations
and how to book a class.
