Falkirk Community Trust offer a programme of recreational gymnastics classes for
all abilities of school-age children (5-16 years). Classes focus on the core components
of gymnastics including floor work, apparatus-based moves, flexibility, agility
and general conditioning. Everyone enters our gymnastics coaching programme at general
level to ensure they master the basics before progressing, with our coaches regularly
assessing gymnasts to ensure they're continually progressing through our programme.
Beginner classes: this is the perfect fun introduction to gymnastics. Gymnasts will
work on basic skills to build a strong foundation before progressing onto more difficult
Improver classes: the next step on the gymnastics pathway. Once gymnastics have
learned the basics, they will have the opportunity to develop their skills further
in Improver classes, along with an increased focus on fitness and flexibility.
Intermediate classes: our most advanced recreational gymnastics classes. Gymnasts
will further develop and fine tune their floor and vaulting skills, working on routines
and continuing their flexibility and fitness development.
All classes follow the Scottish Gymnastics
Awards Scheme syllabus with gymnasts working at their own pace to achieve
their personal best. This provides a solid foundation for other aspects of life:
school, other sports, work habits and personal development.
All Falkirk Community Trust gymnastics classes are taught by British Gymnastics-
qualified and PVG-checked coaches. The Falkirk Community Trust gymnastics programme
is affiliated with Scottish Gymnastics.
Please see the main Gymnastics page which contains details
of class times and locations and how to book a class.
