Falkirk Active Schools is part of a national initiative that aims to get primary school aged children more active, more often. To do this we need to build a strong volunteer and coach structure that we can rely on to help reach out to Falkirk’s school children. We have organised these training opportunities to provide our volunteers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver sessions of the highest quality for Falkirk’s school children.
Our Training Courses
Our courses are open to everyone; school staff, parents, community volunteers, senior pupils and coaches. If you’re looking for new ideas for an after school club or simply have an interest in sport and physical activity you should come along and try one out. We keep our courses light hearted and good fun so come prepared to join in the activities! We recommend you come along dressed in clothes suitable for taking part in physical activity and bring a bottle of water.
If you already volunteer for Active Schools or are considering volunteering with us, most of the courses are free of charge (unless otherwise stated). If there are any other related courses you would like to go on please contact us and we will find a course nearby for you to go on. Please note: If you have booked on to a course and do not turn up on the day, you may incur a charge to offset our fees.
