  • What precautions is Great Barrier Reef Soft Play taking to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19?

    We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our equipment, with all items being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between sessions. However, we recognise that we need to take extra steps to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19, so we will:

    • be running sessions which must be pre-booked in advance.
    • adhere to the track and trace programme;
    • operate with reduced numbers of adults and children per session;
    • encourage social distancing;
    • have hand sanitiser available throughout the day;
    • clean and disinfect between each session;
    • deep clean at the end of the day;
    • close the ball pit and remove loose toys in accordance with soft play industry guidelines.
  • How do I book a session?

    Due to reduced capacity within the soft play area we have introduced temporary booking procedures for Great Mariner Reef. Adults must book a table, up to a maximum of 2 adults per table, before booking children into soft play. Children cannot be admitted without an adult having a confirmed table booking.

    Great Mariner Reef Soft play members can access online bookings to book 7 days in advance. Customers without soft play membership must call the centre between 10.00 am and 4.00pm to pre-book and can book 5 days in advance.

  • When will booking open?

    Bookings can be made online and by telephone from 12.00 noon on Thursday 3 June. Members can book online.

    From Fri 4 June, non-members can call the centre on 01324 503750 between 10.00 am and 4.00pm to pre-book.

  • What do I do if I need to cancel a booking?

    We appreciate that circumstances change and you may not be able to attend your session. Due the anticipated high demand for soft play members are asked to cancel their bookings online. Non-members please call 01324 501125 to cancel your booking. There will be no on the day cancellation/refunds for soft play or swim sessions – a minimum of 24 hour notice of cancellation required.

  • I have a Great Mariner Reef membership. Will my membership be reinstated automatically?

    Monthly membership will be reinstated unless you contact us by 13th June to cancel your membership.

    If, however, you are not in a position to return to our facilities just yet, you can cancel your membership by emailing the bookings team at bookings@falkirkcommunitytrust.org

    Annual memberships will automatically be extended for the duration of the soft play closure.

  • When will the ball pit and other toys be available?

    Ball pits and loose toys will be removed until guidelines change to permit use.

  • How much does it cost for a session?

    Great Mariner Reef prices are currently £5.00 per child, Under 1s free, Go Card £2.50, £9.99 for a monthly membership and £99 annual membership. Please note if attending with only children under 1 a flat fee of £5.00 will be charged.

    Membership permits access to Great Mariner Reef only.

  • What are the Soft Play opening times?

    Great Mariner Reef will be operating with 4 daily sessions at 90 minutes with 30 minute interval for cleaning between each session.

    • 9.15 – 10.45
    • 11.15 – 12.45
    • 1.15 – 2.45
    • 3.15 – 4.45
  • Is the café open?

    Yes, the cafe will be open for service in the soft play area only with a new and slightly reduced menu in place. We will be operating with table service only. Customers requested to pay for purchases via contactless payment if possible.

  • Do me and my children have to wear masks?

    All adults must wear masks at all times, except when sitting at your table. Children are not required to wear masks when participating in activity.  

  • I had a birthday party booked before COVID, when can I re-book my party package?

    Following Scottish Government advice and to minimise the spread of COVID-19, we are not holding or taking bookings for parties at the moment.  

  • Can I book a Soft Play birthday party?

    Following Scottish Government advice and to minimise the spread of COVID-19, we are not holding Soft Play parties at the moment.  

  • How many people can come with me to a Soft Play session?

    To adhere to the Scottish Government’s Track and Trace scheme, you must pre-book your Soft Play session.  You will be allocated a table, where up to 2 adults from 2 households and accompanying children can sit.  

  • Can you book 2 tables together?

    Yes, as long as there are children with the booking but we cannot guarantee tables will be beside each other and we cannot move/push tables together.  Customers are asked NOT to move tables within the seating area.

  • I have booked a table for 1 adult and now a friend wants to join me with her children. Is that ok?

    Yes, so long as you notify us in advance or on arrival, so that the second adult’s details can be added to the system for track and trace purposes.

  • How long is a soft play session?

    90 minutes

  • Can I book a double session?

    We anticipate that soft play will be in high demand and with the restrictions on capacity we would encourage customers to book a single session to allow other customers to attend. 

  • I’d like a Soft Play membership. Is that available?

    Yes, soft play memberships are available at reception. Please call us on 01324 501125.
