• Will the pools be set up for lane swimming only?

  Due to the wide range of our swimming pool facilities throughout the Trust, the pool set up will be venue specific. We have listened to customer feedback and will continue to offer lane swimming at certain times during open sessions.  Please contact your preferred venue for further information.

• Can I just turn up for a swim?

  Yes, booking is no longer required for swimming sessions.

• Will I be required to wear a face mask?

  All customers will be required to wear face coverings in public areas i.e. upon entering the building and while travelling in corridors and toilets. You will be able to remove your face covering when inside your designated changing cubicle. 

• What should I do if I have a safety concern prior to my visit?

  If you have a concern that is not covered by our FAQs, you can email us at wearelistening@falkirkcommunitytrust.org

  If you have a concern during your visit, please alert a facility team member of staff.

• How will the changing rooms and lockers work pre-swim?

  Changing rooms, lockers and showers are now fully operational and we will have an enhanced cleaning regime in place.

• How long can I have in the pool?

  All swimming bookings will be for 40-minute sessions. You will be allocated a coloured wrist band and you will be alerted when your session has ended. 

• Can I have a shower after swimming session?

  Yes, our showers are available post-swim.

• Will the toilets be open?

  Yes, toilets will be open at each site and subject to an enhanced cleaning schedule. Please follow the signage and wash hands after your visit.

• Can I hire equipment?

  No, please bring your own equipment.

• Can I buy swimwear, armbands and pool toys?

  Limited stock will be on display of our most popular items. Please ask if a member of staff if the item you are looking for is not on display.

• When will swimming lessons recommence?

  Swimming lessons have now recommenced.

• Will the sauna and steam rooms be open?

  The sauna and steam room will remain closed for the moment. Bo’ness and Grangemouth sauna will be open…

• How will you support the Contact Tracing programme to identify people at risk of coronavirus (COVID-19)?

  Contact tracing is a process for identifying people at risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection because they have been physically close to a person who has tested positive. FCT supports the Scottish Government’s Test & Protect Strategy and follows its guidance on the collection of customer and visitor contact details. 

• Will staff be wearing face masks and other PPE?

  Yes, it is within our guidance that all staff will wear masks where possible. If the wearing of a mask is unsuitable for an individual for health reasons or specific job roles subject to risk assessment, we will require them to wear a face shield.  Staff that cannot wear a face covering for medical reasons will wear lanyards displaying their NHS medical exemption cards.

• Will there be inflatable sessions?

  Inflatable sessions will be reintroduced. Please contact your preferred venue for further information.

• Can I book a pool party?

  Yes. Please contact your preferred venue for further information.

• Will the swimming pool be open as normal?

  Yes, the prebooking facility has been removed. We will operate the coloured wrist band system at busy periods to control admissions. When capacity is reached, admissions will be paused until the next session can commence.
