Falkirk Community Trust to reopen library buildings to the public offering Click & Collect from the 6 April
Falkirk Community Trust is delighted to announce that all Falkirk libraries will be offering a Click and Collect service from Tuesday 6 April, allowing the local community to once again access this much-missed public service.
Click & Collect will be available at all our libraries: Bonnybridge, Bo’ness, Denny, Falkirk, Grangemouth, Larbert and Meadowbank from 10am-12.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (closed on Wednesday and Sunday) and at Slamannan on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 2-4pm.
The Click & Collect service will allow customers to request books either online or by phone. We are asking all customers to book an appointment; bookings can be made either online or by telephone by calling 01324 503605. You can return books without an appointment.
We are working hard to put in place a range of new measures to keep customers and staff safe to allow us to reopen for browsing and PC use on Monday 26 April. The libraries have obtained Visit Scotland’s ‘Good to Go’ accreditation to further assure the local community that all our libraries are safe to visit.
From 26 April, all libraries will open for pre-booked appointments for browsing, and PC use. Falkirk Library will be issuing bus passes from 26 April, also by appointment only.
For full details on the safety measures in place please contact your library or
Work also begins on Tuesday, 6 April to convert part of Falkirk Library’s first floor into the Central Advice & Support Hub. These works are expected to be complete by mid-May and will not affect the reintroduction of Click & Collect. We will provide a further update to Falkirk Library customers before reopening on 26 April. Further information on the opening of Hub services will be provided at a later date.
