Customer Update 19.03.21
Everyone at Falkirk Community Trust would like to send you their best wishes and we hope you are all staying safe. We were pleased to hear the update from the First Minister on 16 March, outlining the easing of lockdown restrictions over the coming months. It’s been a challenging time for everyone, but we feel encouraged by this latest news and cannot wait to welcome you all back.
Despite our buildings being closed to the public, we are working hard to ensure we can open as soon and as safely as possible. We are committed to providing you with the best possible service and we are ensuring our buildings are ready to open as soon as Government guidance allows.
Plans are well underway for us to be able to open a number of our facilities including gyms, swimming pools and libraries from 26 April (providing restrictions permit). We await the detailed information on guidance to ensure we have everything in place to open as planned and we will update our website and social media channels with further venue specific information once confirmed.
Our buildings and staff remain busy in the meantime with many Falkirk Community Trust employees being redeployed to other services within Falkirk Council and also supporting the NHS to continue to help with the pandemic response. Staff have been supporting the social care department, helping with the vaccine roll out and operating COVID testing facilities and much more. Their support is vital to ensure these services keep going and we are incredibly proud of them and all their hard work. Some buildings remain in operation with sites supporting limited services including the recording of our online fitness classes and the recent reopening of Grangemouth Stadium supporting athletics club training.
We hope you are still finding the time to remain active although we appreciate the challenges the current climate brings and how difficult it can be. We will continue to offer you support online, with new and engaging ways for you to stay active, available through our mobile app (download here), website and social media channels. In addition to this we were delighted to restart our outdoor fitness classes this week at Grangemouth Stadium.
Our proposed reopening plans are subject to change and we will be adhering to guidelines set out by the Scottish Government at all times.
Please keep your eyes on our website and social media channels over the coming weeks for exciting news and updates around our reopening plans along with ideas and activities to help keep you active during the Easter break.
