Reopening Information – Health & Fitness and Sport
The majority of Falkirk Community Trust properties have been closed since Christmas due to the coronavirus emergency. Since then we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that as we reopen, in line with Government guidance, our sites are fully prepared to provide a safe environment for both customers and staff alike.
Further to the announcement by the First Minister on Tuesday 9 March regarding easing of selected covid safety measures, we are pleased to provide an update on our services and facilities affected by this change.
Outdoor Fitness Classes
Falkirk Community Trust is excited to see the return of our much-missed Outdoor Fitness Classes at Grangemouth Stadium from Monday 15 March. We are delighted to offer another way for people to be physically active whilst many of our facilities remain closed and we value the impact regular and varied exercise has on the health and wellbeing of our customers. We are finalising a new class timetable which will be shared on our website and social media channels as soon as possible. To comply with Scottish Government guidelines, classes will be restricted to 14 participants and members will be able to reserve their place via our online booking system. Health & Fitness members will be able to book classes free of charge for the month of March. A £5 monthly fee will be incurred from 1 April onwards for continued access to outdoor classes. New members can join from Monday 15 March by calling our Bookings Team to register as an Outdoor Fitness member - a 60-day pass costs just £15.
Grangemouth Stadium
Grangemouth Stadium will reopen with designated club access from Thursday 18 March and on subsequent Tuesdays and Thursdays after that date. Please note that there will be no access to changing rooms. The café and gym will also remain closed at this time.
Outdoor Pitches at Schools
We will be working to facilitate access to outdoor pitches with minimal impact on the return of school pupils. It is expected that this approach will include a phased access agreement with our partners at each venue.
Please be aware that Scottish Government travel restrictions still apply, and people should continue to stay as close to home as possible.
We would advise everyone to continue to check our website and social media channels for the latest updates. We very much hope to be able to reopen other facilities and services as soon as we receive the appropriate Government guidance.
Thank you for choosing Falkirk Community Trust. We look forward to providing you with more ways of staying active to keep you Fit for Life.
